We have a variety of classes that are tailor made for our elders ranging from art and music, to yoga, and informative sessions for cyber awareness, legal assistance, and more. These classes are a great opportunity for seniors to network, learn, and stay healthy.
Exercising has numerous benefits in your senior years, but it comes at the risk of injury. When the body is aging, recovery time can be prolonged.
With our chair yoga program, where the exercises are designed keeping our seniors’ agility in mind, they are able to improve their overall physique without the risk of strain.
Chair yoga is ideal for people with mobility issues, arthritis, vertigo, back and neck pain and osteoarthritis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, diabetes, depression, dementia, etc.
Schedule: 4.30 pm - 5.30 pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Our music class is designed specifically for seniors. These classes aim to promote mental and physical well-being through musical activities. Our sessions include:
● Study of Swar and Laya - the authentic method of voice practice
● Raaga music
● Light music - Ghazal, Bhajan, Raag-based bollywood songs
● One-to-one practice sessions in our Zoom class.

It has been well established that even a small amount of musical training can have long-lasting positive effects on the brain. Playing a musical instrument is a great way to stay mentally fit. Our keyboard classes are a great way to find the musician in you. You don’t need any prior musical training - the class is designed for beginners; but you must have a keyboard at home. We start with keyboard chords for beginners, finger techniques, with step-by-step guidance, and also graduate to composing songs!

We believe that battling loneliness is one of the biggest challenges for elders in our community today. The Silver Age Activity Centre is a place where our elders can congregate with their peers and learn useful skills. Our Activity Centre was bustling with energy until it had to be shut down. We are excited to announce that we are in the process of rebuilding, and shall be launching the activity centre soon!
